Manchester United legend Roy Keane is happy to see former Nottingham Forest teammate Stuart Pearce take charge of England.
The Under 21 and Team GB coach has been appointed interim manager for next week's friendly against Holland at Wembley, and former Sunderland and Ipswich boss Keane believes the FA have made the right move.
"I was fortunate to play with Pearce and he is a good man. I think he will be ideal, with his leadership over the next few weeks up until the Holland game.
"When I was a young player in the dressing room at Forest, Stuart Pearce was a great example to me and passion is a great word to use to describe him.
"People talk about it but it just comes through his pores, particularly when you talk about the England set up. Obviously as a player he was very passionate and he is the same now as a manager.""Stuart has been involved with the senior team and is the manager of the under 21's," said Keane.
