Manchester United legend Roy Keane regrets not taking care of himself earlier in his playing career.
Keane admits he admires foreign players who took seriously their profession.
"The beauty is I don't have to explain everything in the book," he added. "I reached a stage in my career where I gave [alcohol] up. I had enough of it.
"I was thinking, I want to play a little longer, but ironically the hip finished me early anyway. I want to give credit to the foreign players. You go on about regrets but maybe I could have looked after my body better when I was younger.
"Some of that was not about being a professional football. It was about being young, 19, 20, what are you going to do after a game, go home and watch Downton Abbey? Come on. You are going to go out."
