Manchester United legend Roy Keane is being linked with a Republic of Ireland coaching role.
The Daily Mail says Martin O'Neill is poised to return to football next week as the new manager of the Republic of Ireland.
And in a sensational twist the 61-year-old former Celtic boss is discussing the appointment of Keane as his No 2.
O'Neill, out of work since he was sacked by Sunderland at the end of last season, met officials of the Football Association of Ireland on Friday and agreed in principle to take on the task of replacing Giovanni Trapattoni.
