Manchester United legend Roy Keane has agreed to join Aston Villa as manager Paul Lambert's No2.
The Telegraph says Villa expect to confirm the deal before the players return for pre-season training on July 7.
Keane will combine his role as Lambert's No. 2 with his position working alongside Martin O'Neill for the Republic of Ireland.
He pulled out of ITV's World Cup coverage earlier this month and is determined to make his return to the Premier League.
