Manchester United legend Paul Ince is confident England will beat Germany today and also Argentina in the World Cup quarterfinals.
Ince says Fabio Capello has got two world class strikers, Wayne Rooney and Jermain Defoe, who can repeat Manchester United striker Michael Owen's hat trick heroics against Germany in the 5-1 win in Munich in 2001.
Ince told the Sunday Mirror: "It's a game steeped in history, we went to Germany, beat them 5-1 and I'm sure that they can beat them again. I really believe so.
"We haven't got Michael Owen this time, but hopefully there's Wayne Rooney and hopefully there's Jermain Defoe. Defoe looked sharp.
"It will be a cracking tie on Sunday, we haven't played to our best yet and maybe we can start playing to our top form. We're going to have to be at our best, on our game and on our wits against Germany.
"I'm looking forward to it, I think we will go through and hopefully we will meet Argentina in the quarter finals.
"You think of England and Germany and you think of penalties but with this manager there is definitely a different approach, more belief and you will see that in the penalties.
"I've been there before and it's devastating when you miss. The whole country is looking at you as a player and you feel that pressure.
"But they will have been practising and they will be up for it, there's no doubt about it because it's Germany and the World Cup.
"But this team can go through before the need for penalties. They've got good players and they can only get better as a team."
