Man Utd legend Giggs on Swansea radar

Ryan Giggs has emerged as a key candidate for the managerial role at Swansea City.

The Swans are on the hunt for a replacement for Garry Monk, who was sacked on Wednesday, and it is believed that Manchester United hero Giggs is high on their wishlist according to The Independent.

The former Wales international is the current assistant at United under Louis van Gaal and has been earmarked to replace the Dutchman when his contract expires in the summer of 2017.

Cardiff-born Giggs is eyeing a career in management and although he is open to most jobs, it is believed he would love to stay put at Old Trafford and lead the club he served so well as a player for more than two decades.

Other names linked with the Swansea vacancy include David Moyes, Dennis Bergkamp, Mark Warburton, Gus Poyet and Avram Grant.
