Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson attended yesterday's Oscars in Los Angeles.

He treated his wife Lady Cathy, who joined him at the Hollywood bash.

"I'm retired and I've got time on my hands now," he said.

"I spoke to my lawyer and he said, 'you must go to the Oscars sometime,' so I got this opportunity."
