Man Utd legend Ferguson to earn millions as motivational speaker

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is set to earn millions as a corporate motivational speaker.

Ferguson, who retired at the end of the season after a glittering 27-year career at the Old Trafford helm, has been snapped up by a renowned US speakers' agency.

He joins world figures such as former US president Bill Clinton, former secretary-general of the United Nations Kofi Annan, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and former US vice president Al Gore, on the talent list of the Harry Walker Agency.

Clinton is known to command fees of up to $750,000 for 45-minute speeches. The company's website reveals that Sir Alex's specialist topic is Creating a Winning Organization for the Long-Term.

It adds: "Sir Alex reveals the passion, philosophies and principles that shaped his career. From the qualities required to develop talent to the skills necessary to build, and rebuild, winning teams to the importance of embracing and adapting to change.

"These are just a few of the management lessons Sir Alex developed over his time as the most successful manager in the history of the world's most popular sport."
