Rio Ferdinand has reportedly offered his services to West Ham United.
According to the Daily Mail, the Manchester United great is open to helping the Hammers as a defensive coach.
It is understood that Ferdinand has notified West Ham boss Slaven Bilic, his teammate of 10 years ago, that he is willing to lend his expertise in a bid to improve the East London club's defensive woes.
Bilic's side lost 5-1 at home to Arsenal on Saturday and have now shipped 29 goals in 14 Premier League games, which is the second worst in the competition behind bottom-placed Swansea City (31).
It is not known if Bilic has responded to Ferdinand's SOS call.
