Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has taken a swipe at Jose Mourinho by claiming that he would rather play for Pep Guardiola than the current United boss.
Ferdinand is regarded as one of the greatest United players of the past generation and went on to win six Premier League titles during the 12 successful years that he spent at Old Trafford.
City and United are currently first and secondin the Premier League at the moment though the Citizens already have an eight point advantage over their counterparts.
Speaking on the Clare Balding show, Ferdinand said: "As a defender, Jose because I'd get well protected.
"But if I was going there to be able to commentate on my attacking players in front of me, it would be Pep.
"For enjoyment I'm going to go for Pep."
