Manchester United legend Andy Cole has said that the club must win the FA Cup this season.

Jose Mourinho's side face a tough FA Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham on Saturday.

This presents Jose Mourinho's side with their last opportunity to win silverware this season.

Speaking ahead of the game, Cole said: "It's important United finish the season on a high. If you can get to the FA Cup final and win it, it's another piece of silverware.

"But if you don't, people will be talking about how they lost those games against West Brom and Spurs and then all the talks start about individuals.

"The West Brom defeat was disappointing, especially considering what a great result they managed to get in the Manchester derby.

"You want to try and build on great comebacks like that. You have to beat teams like West Brom who are struggling for their lives. But West Brom have done a number on them.

"This FA Cup run, though, gives United a chance to lay down a marker for next season."

He added: "Jose was right to say there will be changes.

"Spurs will be tough. They beat United earlier in the season comfortably so it's going to be a tough match for United."

"I am not a big lover of having the semi-finals at Wembley. It detracts from the actual final.

"Whatever way you look at it though, Tottenham are the home team. They have played there all season.

"They have only lost four games but it's a Cup game, 50/50. Anything can happen.

"I loved the FA Cup, I was lucky to win it twice. Going down Wembley Way is special."
