Manchester United legend Andrew Cole is delighted for Robin van Persie over his instant impact at Old Trafford.

Cole has not been surprised by the immediate impact of Van Persie, but is still impressed with how quickly he has established himself.

"He's adapted really well, scored goals and that takes the pressure off," he told the Manchester Evening News. "Playing for United it gets easier because they create so many chances. When you come to a club like this you are going to score.

"Still the pressure is straight on you because if you spend £20 or £30m on a striker everyone expects him to score every game. They don't appreciate that he might need to bed in."
