Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton would be happy to surrender his England goalscoring record to Wayne Rooney.

Charlton believes it would be fitting if the Manchester United striker is the man to break his scoring record.

He said: "I am really proud of my record and if someone takes it I would be sick.

"But I would be happy if it was Wayne."
