Departing LA Galaxy star David Beckham is ready to bring the best of the Premier League to MLS.
The People says Beckham's amazing long-term project is to attract the cream of talent from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga to finish their playing days in the MLS.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star wants to buy his own MLS franchise and play a further role in developing the game Stateside.
It is understood Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber has already approached Beckham with outline plans to stay in the USA and help attract the top players from all over the world.
Determined not to lose the momentum Beckham has given the MLS Garber wants him back on board once he has had one last football challenge on the field. Beckham's fame would give him massive pulling power in persuading players like Cristiano Ronaldo to end their days in the States - and provide him with potentially one of the most lucrative franchises in the MLS.
Given the right financial backing, wages would be no object, with each team allowed four designated players eligible to fall outside the MLS wage cap.
