Man Utd legend Beckham to be part of Finney Preston celebrations

Real Madrid and Manchester United legend David Beckham will be part of the celebrations at Preston North End for Sir Tom Finney.

The League One clash at Deepdale on Saturday where MK Dons visit his beloved Preston will be transformed into a day of celebration for the great man, says the Sunday Mirror.

The Lilywhites will host a huge party with the hope of a bumper crowd honouring one of the game's greatest ever players. Sir Tom will be 90 on Thursday.

Beckham played for Preston during the 1994-95 season to get some first team experience, scoring two goals in five appearances - one direct from a corner kick.

The former Manchester United and England star is among those saluting Sir Tom - who scored 187 goals in 433 games for the club.

And the man who loaned Becks to Preston - Sir Alex Ferguson - will also pay tribute by video, along with Prime Minister David Cameron and FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
