Man Utd legend (and director) Charlton backing Ronaldo push

Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton would love to see Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford. An Old Trafford return would cost at least €75million and reunite Ronaldo with Wayne Rooney, who Alex Ferguson has vowed will be a United player next season.

And speaking at the Laureus Sports Awards in Rio last night, United director Charlton admitted: "Any great player would be welcomed back but Cristiano went beyond being just a great player.

"He scores phenomenal goals, loves the club and was just the right sort of player at Manchester United. I'm a fan of him like anyone else and on a personal level I would like to see him back. I can't say anything more than that."

Has Sir Bobby dropped a big hint? Still a director, could he be confirming a bid is being prepared? Give us your shout below...
