Man Utd left red-faced over sign error in Sir Alex Ferguson stand

Manchester United will have to do a 'Mr Fixit' job on Sir Alex Ferguson's new stand.

Manchester United will have to do a 'Mr Fixit' job on Sir Alex Ferguson's new stand.

The Daily Mail says eagle-eyed signmaker Stewart Neill spotted that the 's' in the Manchester United manager's surname was upside down.

It has left United officials red-faced after the Old Trafford stand was renamed on Saturday in honour of Ferguson's 25 years in charge.

Neill, from Portsmouth, said: "The tail of the 's' is smaller at the bottom - that should be at the top."

United have insisted that they fix the problem, saying: 'We will correct it as soon as possible."
