Manchester United teenage defender Sean McGinty is delighted to be again involved with Republic of Ireland U17 for the Syrenka International Cup.
United swooped for McGinty at the end of last season from Charlton Athletic and the youngster told fai.ie: "I was delighted to win an Under-17 cap last season while still an Under-16 player and I'd like to use that experience to benefit the team.
"This is my third season with this squad and it's changed quite a lot over since we started out at Under-15s. We came up against some of the best teams in Europe last season - Portugal, Spain and France - and, though the results weren't great, we learned a lot from playing those matches.
"The difference this season is that most of the lads are in full-time training with their clubs. I think fitness will be vital when it comes to playing our European qualifiers later this month."
