Man Utd kid Keane likened to Sheringham

Former Manchester United fullback Arthur Albiston has likened teenage striker William Keane to Teddy Sheringham.

Keane has been outstanding for United's U18 and reserve teams this season and Albiston is tipping big things for the attacker.

He told the Manchester Evening News: "The 16-year-old Stockport-born striker plays a bit like Teddy Sheringham. He brings other players into play because he is aware of everything that is going on around him. He has got an old head on young shoulders.

"I felt a bit sorry for him earlier in the season because everything he seemed to hit would strike the woodwork or keeper's would make wonder saves.

"But he never let it get him down and got his reward recently by scoring a first half hat-trick against City."
