Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard produced an amazing four-goal debut for Birmingham City in victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
It was the first time Lingard, who has been recruited on loan from Manchester United for a month, had even started a league game.
Brum assistant manager Terry McDermott said afterwards: "I was a little disappointed because I thought he could have got five!
"It was fantastic for the kid but mainly for the whole team after the poor performance at Burnley last Tuesday.
"It is probably the best we have played this season and probably last season.
"We just have to continue playing to this standard and we will win a lot more games.
"For a kid so young he did exceptionally well. It wasn't as if he was playing in the Conference.
"He had only trained with us on two occasions.
"What I like about him is that he is laid-back, nothing fazes him.
"Before the game he just sat there for an hour hardly speaking.
"He went on to the pitch as if he was just playing another game with his mates at school.
"He then goes out and puts on a great display. Long may it continue."
