Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has laughed off his heroics in this week's Club World Cup final against Quito.

Van der Sar pulled off two stunning second-half saves in the final in Japan to show why boss Sir Alex Ferguson has given him a one-year contract extension.

The Dutch ace said: "I wouldn't have signed it if I didn't think I could make saves like that."
