Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero says he's a better player for working with David de Gea.
Romero has started 11 of United's 14 Europa League games and has been given the nod over De Gea by Jose Mourinho for tomorrow's final against Ajax in Stockholm.
“My relationship with David is a good one," said Romero to Rollin' Reds, the official MUDSA (Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association magazine). “We're good friends and we have a mutual respect for each other.
“The way we push each other in training increases the level of our performances.
“When a team like United comes knocking, you can't really say no. I think any player or keeper would say yes to them.
“Even coming in the circumstances I might be involved in, as a sub, you just have to take your chance and your opportunity when it comes along.
“I knew it wasn't going to be easy and that I wasn't going to play too many games in the Premier League, but I'm really happy with the work I'm doing at the moment."
