Man Utd keeper Lindegaard pulls out of Denmark squad

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has pulled out of the Denmark squad with an ankle strain.

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has pulled out of the Denmark squad with an ankle strain.

The move is a precaution after the Manchester United keeper was forced to sit it out from January to the end of last season with ligament damage.

Lindegaard, who has shared the United No 1 spot with David De Gea this term, said: “People are used to teams having a keeper who plays every game. But that’s not possible in modern football.”
