Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard admits former manager Sir Alex Ferguson could be brutal.

Lindegaard has also offered his own take on the transition from Ferguson to David Moyes, leaping to the defence of his new boss.

He said: "Ferguson was very militaristic. He could find a way to say the most terrible things.

"I've seen people in the dressing room buried in the worst way, where I just sat there and thought 'Our Lord on horseback!'"
