Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Castro Pereira has completed his loan stay with Rochdale.

Pereira has returned to the fold from his loan spell with Rochdale.

The Portugal youth international initially joined the League One club for one month, commencing mid-October, but his spell was extended and he made his latest appearance in Monday's 1-1 draw away to Scunthorpe United. In total, he played eight games for Rochdale and conceded just eight goals.

A statement on Rochdale's website said: "We'd like to thank Joel for his efforts and his contribution, as well as wishing him the very best of luck for the future."
