Man Utd keeper Foster delighted with run of games

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster was happy to see more action in yesterday's FA Cup win over Tottenham.

Foster told MUTV: "It's the first time in about a year-and-a-half that I've played games back-to-back. It's nice for me and it gives me a bit of extra confidence. I don't really expect to keep my place in the team, Edwin has been doing fantastically well, but I've got to do what I can when I get a chance."

Having been given the nod ahead of Tomasz Kuszczak for the last two games, that is no indication to Foster that he is now above his team-mate in the pecking order behind Edwin van der Sar.

"I don't really look at it like that," he said. "We have three good goalkeepers all vying for that one spot. You have to expect somewhere in the season that you're going to be left out. I've had a run in the team and Tomasz has already had a couple of runs in the team and he'll have more."
