Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster was delighted to see action for England on Saturday against Slovakia.
He told the FA's official website: "It's a nice feeling just to be involved. I need to be playing football now, regular first-team football is a must.
"It's going to be a big season for me next year."
Reflecting on his England cap, he added: "It was a great occasion for me. Any game I play this season has been a bonus, there haven't been that many coming my way.
"The fact that I've played two games at Wembley, one for my country and one in a cup final, is fantastic for me this season.
"It was a bit out of the blue to get called up and then to play some part in the game as well.
"It was a great performance and result, and I was glad to be part of it."
