Man Utd keeper De Gea: Leaving Atletico Madrid left me in tears

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea admits leaving Atletico Madrid left him in tears.

The Spain international joined the Red Devils for £17.8million in 2011 and has gone on to clock over 133 appearances for the Premier League giants.

"Yes [I cried]. I had spent the whole of my life at one club and it was difficult for me to leave," De Gea told AS.

"But joining Manchester United was a step I had to take, and I know I made the right decision."
