Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea denies he was dropped for the win over Sunderland.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson dropped him to the bench for Saturday's visit of Sunderland for back-up keeper Anders Lindegaard, who kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory over Sunderland.
But De Gea insists he was merely rested for the clash and says he is still getting to grips with English football.
"What I have learned since the summer in England is more than most of my professional career in Spain," he told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
"It is another world in all of the concepts. I didn't play in the past weekend but Ferguson told me it was just so I could rest. He's an incredible coach and without doubt the best in the world."
