Man Utd keeper De Gea confident being fit for Chelsea trip

David De Gea is confident being fit for Manchester United's trip to Chelsea.

The Daily Mail says De Gea is ready to solve Manchester United's goalkeeping crisis at Stamford Bridge after spending Thursday convincing Sir Alex Ferguson of his fitness with a double training session.

Ferguson feared having to pitch 21-year old third-choice keeper Ben Amos into Sunday's Chelsea showdown, after de Gea appeared to have succumbed to illness and injury and Anders Lindegaard twisted his right ankle.

The Spain Under 21 skipper was put through his paces alongside Amos, and Ferguson seems sure to restore him to United's starting line-up, provided there is no reaction in the next 24 hours.
