Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is reportedly confident of securing his much-publicised move to Real Madrid before the transfer window closes next Tuesday.
According to reports in The Mirror, there is a feeling amongst De Gea and his representatives that a resolution to the transfer saga is imminent.
Despite Madrid's reluctance to meet United's £35million asking price for the Spanish shot-stopper, it is understood a deal could be completed as early as Monday.
Reports claim that De Gea's agent Jorge Mendes is confident the Red Devils will eventually settle for an offer in the vicinity of £30million for the 24-year-old.
