Manchester United are now in pursuit of Everton's John Stones according to reports.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils are showing significant interest in the 21-year-old defender who is already a strong target for Chelsea.
The Toffees young gun has also this week been linked with Manchester City and now it is believed that United have joined the chase.
It is understood that Louis van Gaal is prepared to part with Jonny Evans as well as cash to land the highly-rated Stones who has been the subject of two failed bids from Premier League champions Chelsea.
It was believed that United were set to drop their interest in a new defender after seemingly missing out on Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos but recent reports are indicating that perhaps they are still on the hunt for a quality centre-back.
However, Everton have made it vehemently clear that they have no intentions of losing Stones as evidenced by their rebuffing of the reported £20million and £26million bids from Jose Mourinho's Blues.
