Manchester United are inviting offers for Ben Foster.

The Mail on Sunday says United have put England international goalkeeper Ben Foster up for sale as first choice Edwin van der Sar prepares to return to action after taking time off to nurse his wife.

Premier League clubs looking for a new keeper have been told it will take £4million to land World Cup hopeful Foster, whose relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson soured after a dressing-room row following the home game against Sunderland in October.

Foster's impending departure signals the start of a major shake-up at Old Trafford, prompted by last weekend's FA Cup flop against Leeds United.
