Manchester United are in contact with Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko.
Corriere dello Sport says Inter Milan and United are in talks with Vrsaljko's representatives to ferry him away from Madrid after the World Cup.
The Croatia international is seen at Inter as an alternative to Chelsea fullback Davide Zappacosta, while United manager Jose Mourinho admires him for his versatility.
Atletico are prepared to consider offers for Vrsaljko after spending big on Thomas Lemar and Rodri.
The former Sassuolo defender favours a return to Italy, though if Mourinho firms up his interest it's been suggested the opportunity to play for United will prove difficult to turn down.
