Notts County boss Paul Ince was upset with Manchester City's players after their 1-1 draw.

Some of the Premier League players were reluctant to exchange tops with their League One opponents after the 1-1 draw at Meadow Lane.

Manchester United legend Ince said: "Our shirts were special ones for the game so we couldn't afford to give them away - not that their players wanted them.

"But they should have done after this performance.

"I had a drink with Patrick Vieira after the game and he told me I had a fantastic team with a great spirit. Vincent Kompany came in too and for them to say that gives the lads a boost.

"I was a bit jealous as it was one of those games I would have liked to have played in - dodgy pitch, tackles flying in.

"I didn't want it to be a great day out, I wanted it to be a great performance."
