Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs has come clean in his new book over an infamous incident early in his career.
In My Life My Story, Giggs lays bare the truth about the story of Sir Alex Ferguson turning up at a party to give him and pal Lee Sharpe the hairdryer treatment.
It is a famous incident and one which is held up as the prime example of Fergie having his eyes and ears everywhere.
But Giggs says on that occasion 18 years ago, he was actually grassed up by his MOTHER.
He recalls: "It has entered club folklore how the gaffer received a tip-off about our intentions and it wasn't until a few years ago that I discovered his informant was my own mum.
"He charged into the house like a bull in a china shop, cuffing people out of the way as he went.
"He was red-faced with rage, like some uncontrollable force of nature."
