Man Utd hold 'For Manchester' banner on Twitter after Europa League victory

The Manchester United players took to Twitter to show solidarity for their city following the Red Devils Europa League triumph over Ajax.

The shocking attack at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that claimed 22 lives on Monday night has sent shockwaves around the world, and United were quick to show their city that they are supporting them through this horrible time.

City also sent out a photo showing the two rivals were together through this tragedy.

Speaking after the historic victory, midfielder Ander Herrera said: "We were really, really sad."

"When you think about life and football, you have no choice.

"It was difficult to train yesterday, really difficult for us but the manager told us that the only thing we could do was win this for them and that's what we've done.

"It's just a football game, it's just a trophy, but if we can help or if we can support them with this just one per cent it's enough for us."
