Manchester United hero Dwight Yorke has taken fresh aim at former manager Louis van Gaal.
He has slammed Van Gaal for altering Wayne Rooney's position at Manchester United.
“Because his mindset and the struggles of United, he kept coming to the ball all the time and wanted to get on the ball because the ball was not coming forward to him like it used," Yorke told the Daily Mail.
“United's style used to be back to front, the transition was very quick so he was involved all the time, and on the move constantly.
“Then, he played in a system with van Gaal where the passing is slow, and he was left waiting rather than boom-boom-boom, the Manchester United way.
“It became pedestrian and the easiest thing for a centre-forward who isn't getting delivery is to drop back to join up with the football, especially when you are a proper player like Wayne.
“That might change under Jose Mourinho. He has to play behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic if Zlatan comes. United will get the fear factor back and teams might drop off, so they can pop the ball off to each other."
