Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney has detailed how he took his amazing winner against Manchester City.
Rooney says he hasn't scored a goal like it since school!
Rooney said: "It was a special feeling for the United fans because they deserved that from me.
"I've not had the best of seasons and know how big this game is in Manchester, so I hope they enjoyed that.
"It is my best goal. To score it in that way in such an important game is special.
"I saw it come into the box and I thought 'why not try it?' I was delighted to see it go in the top corner.
"I just tried to get in a good position for the cross. Nine times out of 10 they go over the top or wide but that went in the top corner.
"I didn't have much time to think about it. As soon as I hit it I was trying to look where it was going as I was spinning around. But it was always going in and is definitely the best goal I've scored.
"I scored one in school like that but not professionally.
"I was not pleased with my overall performance. But I spoke to a few of the lads and they told me to stay up there in the box and you get your rewards in the end."
