Man Utd hero Parker: Pogba wouldn't have defeated Man City

Paul Pogba wouldn't have effected the outcome of the Manchester derby.

That is according to Manchester United legend Paul Parker.

The French midfielder missed the 2-1 loss to Manchester City due to suspension.

"Well he definitely makes a difference when he is in the team," the two-time Premier League champion told ESPN.

"Would Manchester City have been that in control of midfield if he had been there? Maybe not.

"Maybe the factor of he would have got on the ball and with his energy he would have run with it and given United more time to be able to go forward as a unit if he had been there.

"Would he have made a difference in the result? I think that's the one where we have to say maybe not.

"He would have added something and maybe with the presence he's had already he may have lifted a few players knowing he was there.

"I've been in situations when a big player's missing and when they're not there, you feel it.

"You lose that little bit of belief and maybe a few players lost that belief because he wasn't there."
