Man Utd hero Mkhitaryan recalls Zorya stunner

Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored a delightful goal in Manchester United's 2-0 win over Zorya on Thursday night.

The Armenian attacking midfielder, who had previously netted a hat-trick at the Chornomorets Stadium for Shakhtar Donetsk, gave United the lead in the 48th minute of their Europa League clash with the Ukraine outfit.

Mkhitaryan picked up possession just inside Zorya's half before advancing at the home side's defence, nutmegging Rafael Forster, and then striding forward with confidence prior to slotting expertly beyond Igor Levchenko.

It was a brilliant individual goal from the summer signing and with a smile on his face, recalled the moment for MUTV after the triumph.

"I've got the ball in the middle of the pitch," he said.

"I was going forward, I saw Wayne (Rooney) creating space for me and I couldn't give anymore to him.

"So I decided to dribble myself and I went one against one against the goalkeeper and I scored a goal."

United went 2-0 ahead in the 88th minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his seventh goal in his past six outings, courtesy of a lovely through ball from Paul Pogba.
