Man Utd hero Mata: It's a shame there is a break

Star midfielder Juan Mata says the international break could disrupt Manchester United's momentum.

United managed to take a big step towards finishing in the Champions League places this season after claiming two wonderful victories over direct rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool over the last two fixtures.

The Red Devils are now on a four-match winning run in the Premier League and look odds-on favourites to claim a top-four finish. They will undoubtedly look to continue their good run of form but will now have to wait until April 4th for their next Premier League clash due to the upcoming international fixtures and according to midfielder Mata, the break has come at a disappointing time for his side.

"The feelings in the training sessions are good and there is also a bit of sun, which is always nice," he wrote in his official blog.

"It's a pity there is a break now because we are in a good moment. After a great performance against Tottenham a week ago we knew we had to confirm those good feelings in such a tough place as Anfield and we did it.

"In particular, I think we performed at a very high level in the first half, and it's true that we played better against 11 than 10 [after Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was sent off]."
