Man Utd hero Giggs emerges a surprise Celtic candidate

Ryan Giggs is being surprisingly linked with the Celtic managerial role.

According to the Daily Mail, the Manchester United legend's name has appeared on a wish-list of the Glasgow giants who are set to lose Ronny Deila in the summer.

The Norwegian has announced that he will leave the job at the end of the season which has sparked plenty of speculation regarding who the Bhoys will appoint as his successor.

Giggs is desperate for a senior coaching role having spent the past few seasons acting as Louis van Gaal's assistant at Old Trafford and may be forced to throw his hat in the ring for the Parkhead vacancy if the United board opt to remain with the Dutchman or bring in Jose Mourinho, as has been rumoured heavily in the press.

However, it is felt that Giggs may be hesitant to shift to the Scottish Premiership as it may be the wrong move at this stage of his fledgling coaching career.
