Manchester United know the price Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil is demanding to sign on a Bosman.

The Daily Star says United can sign Ozil at the end of the season - for £8m.

That is the signing-on fee Ozil's representatives are seeking for the Arsenal and Germany playmaker.

It is dependent, of course, on Ozil, 29, seeing out his contract at Arsenal, then leaving on a free transfer.

United would happily pay the £8m fee, as it would represent a bargain by today's inflated transfer spending standards.

Ozil cost Arsenal £42.4m when he moved from Real Madrid four years ago.
