Manchester United still have the advantage on Manchester City for Valencia winger David Silva. The Sun says City will test Valencia's resolve to hang on to Spain winger Silva this summer.
Valencia have already sold one prized asset in David Villa and are determined to keep hold of their other star man during the close season.
But City boss Roberto Mancini has put the 24-year-old flyer on his wanted list and would be willing to break the bank for the £30million-rated star.
If City pursue their interest in Silva it would be a major coup as bitter rivals United are also keen. But the lack of Champions League football at Eastlands next year could be a stumbling block.
