Manchester United will hand £200 million to manager Louis van Gaal to continue reshapng his squad. He has been told he will have another massive war-chest to spend on some of the biggest stars in the world as United bid to reclaim their place among the European elite.
The club's American owners the Glazers, along with chief executive Ed Woodward, want the Dutchman to build a formidable squad capable of competing for the biggest prizes once again.
The Daily Star says club bosses want the Dutchman to have two elite players competing for every position.
United splashed almost £160m on new signings last summer including the likes of Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo.
And the former Premier League champions are set to do the same again - but this time van Gaal will have even more to spend.
