Man Utd great Yorke urges Rooney to remain

Dwight Yorke is hoping Wayne Rooney stays at Manchester United this summer.

The 27-year old England forward is being targeted by Paris Saint-Germain, along with two unnamed clubs, but former star striker Yorke wants him to stay put at Old Trafford under new boss David Moyes.

"There's always speculation with Wayne Rooney," he said on talkSPORT.

"This year he hasn't played his best football but I'm sure he can turn that around.

"Manchester United are about retaining the best players and Rooney is one of those. It would be a huge disappointment if he decided to leave the football club and I'm sure David Moyes will be looking to keep hold of him."
