Man Utd great Yorke impressed by Martial impact

Dwight Yorke admits he was impressed by Anthony Martial's debut season at Manchester United.

The 20-year-old French forward arrived at Old Trafford from Monaco for an initial £36million last summer which certainly caused some consternation in the wider football community.

However, Martial vindicated his price tag with 17 goals in all competitions and former Red Devils star Yorke is confident he will kick on and be a massive player for United, as well as the French national team.

"He came into this country relatively unknown and people were raising their eyebrows thinking 'Who is this guy?'," Yorke told 888sport.

"But he certainly made an impact at Manchester United and been one of the highlights of their season. He's only 20 so still at that junior stage of his career and he's just going to get better and better.

"There is no doubt he will be a big player for both club and country."
