Man Utd great Keane not sure if he can mend fractured Ferguson relationship

Roy Keane admits he is unsure if he will ever solve his differences with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The former midfielder left Manchester United at the end of 2005 after a furious disagreement with Ferguson and the relationship between the pair has never been the same.

In his updated autobiography 'The Second Half', Keane uncovered his rift with Ferguson and was pressed on the matter at a press conference at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Thursday.

The Republic of Ireland and Aston Villa assistant manager said that he was not sure if his fractured relationship with his old boss would ever be mended but did not rule out the possibility of one day bumping into the Old Trafford legend.

"Good question. I'm not sure, I'm not sure," Keane said.

"Football is a small world and eventually, you will cross paths with people again. Whether I would ever bump into him or not, whether it be at a game or sometimes there are conferences going on...

"The problem, I suppose, I had and one of the reasons when you are writing stuff and you are reflecting on it, is that when you have worked with somebody for such a long time, and obviously we had our disagreements and I departed, and I have no problems with that, it's fine. It's afterwards when people start coming out with all sorts of nonsense.

"Will I ever forgive him? I don't know. Listen, I don't know. We'll see if we ever cross paths again. I'm sure we will - cross paths, I mean."
