Rio Ferdinand admits he cannot believe Patrice Evra is still having such a strong influence at the top level.

The 35-year-old left-back started for France in their opening Euro2016 win over Romania on Friday night, which prompted words of amazement from former Manchester United teammate Ferdinand.

"Patrice Evra is still playing you know. It's unbelievable," Ferdinand said in his Euro2016 vlog.

"When he was at Manchester United I thought, 'wow, this guy's legs are not looking good'.

"He's played for three more years!"
